I never start arguments on here. Finish a few though

You're usually the last post before a thread is closed. Hardly call that finishing.

Lol. I'm sure you whisper Dazzler and ask him to let you have one last comment before he closes a thread.

"Whisper"? Whispers went out with the ark and Ugg boats. Inbox is the new clique.

    It's always Henrys turn.
Sorry, you're right. Who of the usual list of 'arguers' are prepared to have another argument with Henry? Any topic will do as long as it's entertaining.

    Also i should be I.
But we can start sentences with "and" ? ... I didn't realise we had all turned into the grammar police.

Yes you can - as Ernest Gowers said 'That it is a solecism to begin a sentence with and is a faintly lingering superstition. The OED gives examples ranging from the 10th to the 19th c.; the Bible is full of them.'

I'm about half an hour away from throwing a grenade in. Work's slow, it's monday, no football to discuss. All the ingredients are there. I must be strong.

Talking of grenades, a friend been evacuated from Citypoint as a bomb due to go off at 4pm. Honestly. they are all in the pub and someone is probably having a laugh elsewhere. Have heard nothing.

I had been pulled up, i was just making sure he had the right to correct others grammar, i personally couldn't give a f*** its a forum, i am not writing an essay. Was just proving he had made mistakes in the past and people didn't pull him up, no one likes the grammar police.

Nor do I but shouldn't there be an apostrophe for others' and it's though? also need to be consistent with capital 'I'.

I think correct grammar is essential. There is simply too much incorrect English both written and spoken these days.

What separates us from Millwall? Grammar.
  • You people just make people not want to participate in forums that's all it is, so really your just no different from the likes of Millwall. Maybe people might not of been educated to the levels of others, or maybe your older, but at the end of the day its a forum about Charlton yet people like you lot just ruin it by moaning about everything under the sun which isn't even Charlton related.
