Reasons why the last two results are good for us.

I don't want things to get too doom and gloom, so I'll start us off:
We have tended to do better against the top sides this year - perhaps because they have tried to attack us and win the game?
After the last two results, every team is going to try to attack us and win the game - allowing us to play our own style and go on to win... right?!
It'll stop us getting complacent, and therefore means we are less likely to suffer a slump in the last 10 games.
...any others?!

Didn't Notts County attack us?0

Waggy got a chance to show his stuff.0

the last two results will, hopefully , open the eyes of those that matter to see that if we go up we need some serious work to be contenders in the championship0
-
The wake up call 10 game league now win four of those and we get promotion0
-
We normally have a slump at this time of the season, happened with Curbs one minute challenging for a Europe come the end of the season lying in 10th position. Don't worry we will go up!0

We will now go on to have a 10 game winning streak.0
-
It also reduces the chances of the Orient game being significant in terms of promotion which is good for me as I'm going to miss that game as I'm away.0
-
I won't have to go to Oldham again, as we shan't be getting promoted there :-)0
-
i reckon 5 wins will get up promotion 7 will mean champions0

There is no way the last 2 results were good for us. 2 wins would have been much better and any attempt to pretend otherwise is an exercise in turdgilding.
However there are degrees of badness and I humbly suggest that no-one should need to resort to wrist-slashing at this stage0 -

Same for me0 -

Maybe Powell is trying to engineer it that we get promoted at Carlisle, and was worried we might get promoted before then?0

We simply have to be promoted at one or two. I have booked a holiday starting on the 10th May.0

Clearly it's to ensure we win the league on the last day of the season in font of a capacity crowd!0

Me too, KA ! But I'd live with it .0 -

Definately don't think it's good for us, but it will stop our players acting all billy big bollocks, thinking they only have to wear a Charlton kit to win. They will realise that if they don't start grafting, we will get caught up and may be in the play-offs, something they definately don't want.

Interesting anology!0

We're just trying to tee things up nicely for Carlisle away.0
-
Your only as good as your last game. It's a wake up call sooner rather than later as the only positive outcome.0

Great anology, it is just written in the stars, not just promotion, but title as well lock stock and and barrell.

You realise we're ten points clear with thirty points to play for?0 -
Any team that wins their last 10 games has well earned promotion.i reckon 5 wins will get up promotion 7 will mean champions
You realise we're ten points clear with thirty points to play for?
But the promotion pack can't all do that!

i do realise that yes but the way this season is going it looks like we will need about 96 points to be championsi reckon 5 wins will get up promotion 7 will mean champions

I think 86 points will get promotion and 92 will be enough to be Champions. So 2 wins and 2 draws for the former from our next 10 and 4 wins and 2 draws to win the title.0
