I know they are good numbers, that's why I posted them.

Always preferred dravid - not sure how his stats match up though.

Had an opportunity to meet viv richards in antigua but turned it down (the idiot that I am).

The stats are similar, obviously Tendulkar's are better, but having Dravid go in at three and patiently accumulate at the other end helped Tendulkar no end.

He was Yorkshires first overseas player when he was 16 I think so I am surprised a player of his quality hasn't hit a 100 first class hundreds by now.Unless of course hes played a lot more one day games.Either way well done Sir!

51 of his 100 is actually in tests - in recent years he has played very little first class cricket other than tests.
To put the 51 in perspective the record for an Englishman is 22 by Wally hammond. However bothe Strauss and Cook should pass this as they are both on 19.

also ought to add Colin cowdrey and geoff boycott both hit 22 but were lower in the list i looked at as they had a lower averga than Wally

Tendulkar, Lara ... Both great players. I was too young to remember Sobers, but the best batsman I have seen in my opinion was Viv without a doubt.
