On waking this morning and taking in everyones views, opinions and accounts, all of which are valid and have their place, for the first time it seems in press reports and numerous different threads we now have a clear figure ahead of us,

13 points, (thirteen points) thats it and we have crossed the line.

No longer five wins should do it... Wendies may have another wobble.... BBC and ITV predictors.... The last previous 15 years promoted sides have reached.... We could get 100 points if.... Yeovil/Notts/Scunthorpe and whoever have hit a bit of form....all of those have been fun and I have read re-read agreed or disagreed with Them all since we hit the top way back in September...

Its now just 13 points, please tell me this is FACT and I have not got it wrong.....

I've worked it out as 16 points from a possible 24 will guarantee we are Champions, and that's if Sheffield United dont drop any more points, which they most likely will somewhere along the way

How have you worked that out?? There's a total of 24 point remaining, we are 9 points clear, 24 - 9 = 15points required.

is it goal difference before head to heads and goals scored if all points are tied?

Yes its points then goal difference then goals scored and then head to heads

If we get 15 points and Sheffield United get 24, then we will be level. Hence we need 16 points to guarantee winning the league.

If level on points, the following criteria are used:-

1. Goal difference
2. Goals scored
3. Head-to-head points
4. Head-to-head goal difference
5. Head-to-head goals scored

If still level, a play-off match is held at a neutral venue. I don't think this has ever actually happened, but I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong.

Worth mentioning of course that we 'win' a head-to-head with Sheff Utd, Sheff Wed, MK Dons, and Stevenage. Huddersfield and Carlisle to be decided, but we have a decent head start on both!

16 for the title, but it is 13 for the promotion aim. however it will be less than that as the other sides will all drop points - often when you least expect it like swed v walsall
