A horse drawn funeral cortege passed through Welling at lunchtime with Charlton wreaths in the hearse and all the men in the cars wearing red ties. Also had a wreath to look like a lorry cab and also a white tractor unit in the cortege behind the carriage. Brought a lump to my throat as it went past. Any lifers involved with the funeral or know who it might have been? Went past the station hotel at about 12.30ish.
