Squad Average Age

The squad's average age is 24.31yrs and the starting 11 plus Waggy at Carlisle had an average of 25.83yrs

For the squad I took every player who has a squad number except Cook & N'Guessan who are on loan, I included Russell as I wasn't sure if he is on loan and anyway he's nice and young !

    perfect age some may say, i know 28 is meant to be the prime age i think

    And yes, he is on loan until the end of the season.

    Our 'team' must be a lot younger than 24.3

    Perfect timing - if the squad average age is 24.31 years - by the time they are at their prime - 4th in the Premiership, anyone?...

    It's all good and the spine looks excellent, with only for me Hamer being questionable. Considering JJ, Morrison, Cort, Taylor, Holland, Kermorgant, Wiggins, Solly and BWP all look like they could do a shift in the champ. Plus where wing play is average in the champ, both Waggy and Green look more than capable of scoring or assisting.

    Only another central midfielder, an attacker and a left winger and the squad would be very competent.

    It will be interesting to see what transfer funds will be available. The investment this year in a large part was funded by Jenkinson.

    The club will almost certainly is going to see an increase in wages next season, although there will also be an increase in league money. New players may come in on frees from clubs in trouble, but they will be demanding higher wages than we have paid this season. The next stage of the charlton revamp may well test the resolve of the new owners
