Good. I really want West Ham to stay down because I'm sure their higher paid players will want to leave if they have to spend a second year outside a top league. I'd love to see them go down again to Div 3 in another year or two.
I am pretty sure a few teams said the same thing about us

Now that is a PROPER pitch invasion!

I don't see what we're all worried about. We wouldn't get 10% of that amount who would dare break 'the rules' and run on the pitch anyway!

West Ham to stay down, Fat Sam is sacked and they'll hire Di Canio, who apparently has been slating his players after losing tonight.

Instead of bickering, can we just focus on the fact that West Ham are in a spot of bother now. I reckon they'll blow it in the playoffs.
do we really want west ham to stay down

Yes, although we're miss out on £1m of addition revenue.

Steve Kavanagh has confirmed that wouldn't be the case anyway as the rules have since changed and the parachute money is no longer shared

Of course we do! Playing West Ham and beating them is one of lifes great pleasures. Surely enjoying the season is about enjoying the games and there's nothing more enjoyable than playing our East London rivals.
Who would you rather play? WHU or Cardiff?

  • Mate said allegedly stewards opened the gates around pitch wavin/allowing them on pitch??
  • Rothko you really are boring must just wait and rub your hands together just to post a negative comment just to put posters down or get the hump if someone has a different opinion to you lighten up

Rothko is just jealous of us athletes who can actually *run*.

A walking invasion does rather lose it's impact.....

    Exactly.

When do they move in to the Olympic Stadium? 2013? If so the owners will pull the stops to get promoted, just like they did this season! Chortle!

I actually think we will be fined if we have another pitch invasion. If they are a spur of the moment thing like Carlisle then I am all for them, but the fact there seems to be a ground swell of people wanting to run on the pitch, is a bit worrying. The trophy is meant to be being handed over, this will not happen if we are trying to clear 1000 people from the pitch and some may say that is a shame
  • I thought west ham will be in a right pickle if they stay down another season? Got too many players on too much money, if they stay down I sense an unravelling of the club. Love it.
  • Well done to Reading! Delighted for the club! Their fans said good things about us at beginning of season.

Muted congratulations. Happy for the Royals fans I know (and who were on the pitch last night) but I'm a little annoyed as it would have been my 2nd closest away game next season. Still, I can look forward to my closest away trip, Southampton. Oh hang on......

Off topic but do the powers that be want West Ham promoted rather like they didn't want them relegated after Tevez?

Or am I reading too much into it?

Probably reading too much into it but it does make you wonder about the Hamsters sometimes ... So many friends in high places!
