19-20,000 expected, but it's hard to call beyond that.

So it's looking like we'll have 400,000 through the games at the Valley this season if Football 365 stats on gates are right, giving us an average of 17,300
  • First time this season I had to wait on the phone for tickets! Got to make 20,000 + surely
  • First time ever at the Valley this Saturday - awaiting my ticket arrival through Canada Post..!!!!
Hoping West Stand Upper - Central Block N is a good seat...!!!!
BTW - is this section considered a "Bovril" and "Tartan Blanket" section - just so I come prepared....?
    lol ;o)

West Stand Upper... just don't make too much noise RileyAddick!
  • I should add though, that I don't consider myself a "plastic" and have followed the Club for the past 10 years....via BBC, CAFC Player, ESPN Gamecast dots, etc.............and saw Charlton play at Highbury, Oct 2, 2004 - loss to Arsenal.
I know I'm not as "seasoned" as some, but I've had to answer to "who ?" and "why ?" whenever I've been asked who I support, making this season's results so far even sweeter....
Trust results at the Valley will be better than the last game I got to see...!!!!!

I'm going to sing my lungs out for those boys on Saturday.

They have delivered almost every time this season and they deserve it.

Sure that I saw some clapping in the west stand @ last home game..........there again they could have just been cold & trying to get their circulation going ?

Surely we must almost sell out home areas, we could secure the title !!!!!!!

You're out of date - any kind of blanket is acceptable in these modern times!

    Enjoy your first trip

I used to have a ST up there, lovely seats. Some guy in front of me took exception to me and my mates 'supporting the club' and eventually manufactured a reason to have me ejected. Part of the target 20'000 who just came because we offered cheap seats to see all the big guns. Shame really. Enjoy it mate and don't make too much noise !

The current home gate is about 15,750, with 500 sold today. We never sell more than 2,250 on the matchday, so even if you stretch that to 3,500 (which we wouldn't predict) and work on the basis we do 1,500 in total on Thursday and Friday, which is also a bit high, we'd still be about 4,000 under capacity in home areas. In practice, 20k would be good, given Wycombe won't bring a lot.

you would think Wycombe would bring 500 -1000 to cheer the team - going to need it.

That ukele nonsense is ridiculous... When the bird at the back does the 'solo' old grey hair at the front looks like he's very unimpressed ...

I thought it was because you used to turn up battered and swearing most home games and the final straw was when you were so drunk you fell over the seat in front and landed on top of him?

    I could be wrong though.

interesting benchmark of the sort of gate when can attract without big away support/big name opposition and without £5/£10 offers.

20,000 ish not at all shabby

Yes, we can win the title so it is an attractive game but that was my point.

We can get 20k home fans for an attractive game without discounts.

Couldn't agree more so here is a more up tempo version to get the East Stand going - in team colours as well

By the time you allow for fewer away fans and the schools comps, 20,000 for Wycombe (if we get it) is pretty comparable to 21,000 for Sheff United (with nearly 2,700 Blades).

The view from The West Upper is fantastic.
I will drop a line here as soon as either: 1) Canada Post actually delivers my ticket; 2) The Commercial Centre will have a copy re-printed for me to pick-up when I arrive on Friday...! I am so psyched about the day...
Thanks for the best wishes, SA....!
