According to (I think it was Garry Nelsons book) something I read, the one match everybody wants to play in is the last match of the season.
    So
I propose the whole of Hartlepools squad, against the whole of our squad in a 25-a-side match.

waggy,Hollands, Stephens Jacko is our strongest midfield. Hard on Pritch but the players will want to keep winning so we should play our strongest

Because we're pushing for the points now I think Chris will field his strongest team which, at the moment, is the team in possession. He'll probably bring Hollands back as a sub but I don't think he'll start. I would also be surprised to see Russell again this season. I think it would be unfair to drop Waggy so Green will probably not feature. With only 5 subs your options are limited and that's the way it is.

I'd give Cousins and Harriot a run out. I can't see any reason to specifically bring in players like Taylor, Green and Hollands that have played several games. On form, Cort, Waggy and Pritch fully deserve those spots.

That's just stupid you can't have more than one keeper

Totally agree johnny73, I'm sure that is what will happen. This team has already broken many club records this season and want to break more! The winning mentality needs to be maintained and carried through to the start of the new season and beyond!

Would like to see a couple of youngsters on the bench at least. Who depends on who's fit and who Powell thinks deserves a chance.

I think it wouldn't hurt to have one or two of the younger players on the bench. Other than that the first team should play. Oh, and Alonso. Up front.
  • Green definatly needs to start , back in trainning fully fit , finish the season off well , best right winger in league 1 without a dout , most of the top league 1 teams tried to sign him for last season .

Why does Green definately need to start?....Must be me but has not looked fully fit at all this season, always looks knackered or is that the norm for him?....
  • Played at least 31 games have seen most of them , big future I think.

    And none of them suspended.
This is a very good point. One thing that seems to have been drummed into the defence - and indeed anyone else defending - is the futility of lunging in with macho tackles for the fans, conceding free kicks on the edge of our box (or in it), and getting yourself suspended. in most cases the bocks have been brave but well timed, and defenders have kept their eyes on the ball. It's as if they've been trained by an international defender!
