I'd be surprised if that was the case. Bigger fish to fry.
  • i think this would be a good buy , if he can score 26 goals and still go down , what could he do with the right kind of service ?

Powell was asked about him by newshopper and he said it was the first he'd heard on it. I know managers say one thing and do the opposite but can't see this one happening myself.

before anybody dismisses Beavon he has scored a lot of goals in league 1, 1 division higher than Le Fondre did at Rotherham and who has done well at Reading.

Would definitely welcome a forward with that kind of goal tally, but only depending on what he costs us

I know last time we swapped a player it didn't go particularly well, but if Hayes isn't part of our plans then we could get ourselves a bargain - this is the sort of move it would be great to make now whilst other teams are uncertain of what league they'll be playing in next year

He looked pretty lively the other week and could be a decent squad player of course we won't know if he has the quality to really make an impact in The Championship until we get there and play a few games but in principle could be a good buy

i cant see hayes moving down to league 2, he has proved that he is more than capable at playing league 1 level

Wasn't there a comedian who's catch phrase was "....chase me"?
