I did indeed, MOG, and am going with Mr F and Don .

Cut my football teeth at Watling St back in the late 50's/early 60's before I discovered the Addicks.

Used to sit in the front row of the old wooden stand and one match the head of my black & white rattle flew off and hit our goalie's girlfriend bang on her knee...ouch ! Still have that rattle somewhere ...

Last time I saw the Darts play in a final was the FA Throphy in 1974 at Wembley. Lost 2-1 to Morecambe. I was 16 and with a load of Dartford Herberts all flares, DM's and centre partings with a bit of tartan chucked in for good measure.

I was there too, Pelham - 10 years older than you though.

Think I have the rosette & programme somewhere..

Must be the same place as that rattle !

I was also there, althought I have seen them play a few times since!

I'm lucky enough to have a ticket for Sunday. Come on you Darts!

Was that the time the Darts fans lit a fire on the terraces?

Don't remember any fires on the terraces. I mentioned flares but that was the trouser fashion at that time as in Lionel Blair's. Do remember a Police Horse doing a tango on my foot on the way back to the coach. Off to the game now via the Cressy. Come on you Darts.

Justice has been done. Great for the town, the club and the fantastic supporters, who kept the club going through the bad times. Well done everyone.

Feel sad for welling though, they've had tough times lately.

Look where the Darts have come from, playing Kent league football a few years ago, no home, and still the fans turned out, if they can do it, then with good support Welling will be able to.

Beckboy, did the Darts deserve to win it? Obviously over the course of the season they did, more points, more goals, less let in, better goal difference etc., but as we know that don't always mean that the winning team on the day was superior. It was certainly rocking when I came passed around 3:30.

Even game, but fair play to Dartford.

Was a the game, close call but the Darts deserved it, scored early then despite lots of possession Welling then failed to really trouble the Darts goal for the next 85 minutes.

Was also at the game. Thought darts started well but after scoring welling had the best of the first half and dartford just seemed happy lumping it up to the big guy up front. The second half was a bit of a non event, a darts player got booked for diving when he seemed to trip over his own feet, no way an intentional dive.

Overall could have gone either way but that goal deserved to be a winning one.

Can't believe next season Darts will be on a par with the likes of Stockport, Macclesfield, Grimsby etc.

They'll do well to stay up next season, a lot of full time clubs in that league.....

Great win for Darts who definately desreved it for me. First 20 minutes were far superior but it evened up after that. Wellling pushed Dartford late on as the dreaded nerves meant dartford sat too deep. Definately deserved it overall. Great goal that won it. Three promotions in 5 years. That Tony Burman cant be a bad manager.

Yes they deserved to win the game Charlton Kerry but was very nervy game I thought welling didn't have much of an attacking threat but you could say that the darts defence was solid .Cracking goal to win the game by noble he looked really good

I thought it was a poor game, with both sides overawed by the occassion. Dartford were certainly the better side but Welling didn't ever really get going. I think they were rocked by conceeding the early goal, which was a real stunner! I've definitely seen both sides play a lot better. Congratulations Dartford!
