I think McLiesh will go West Brom as they were getting dizzy being 10th at the end of the season so to continue to sing thier BOING BOING song they will surely want to be back to having a nail biting season or get relegated...Actually thats just as fitting for Curbs really!
Curbs will definatly be in the midlands next season.

He is always linked but doesn't mean he will take it or ultimately be offered it.

Curbs as a manager is finished imo, been away from the game a few years, taking a club to tribunal isn't the best reference for a job & there's plenty of managers/recent managers who may appear a better "current" option.

Do they need a gay director in order to get this decision right?

Curbs to never work as a manager again. Remember, you heard it here first.

Apparently, you have to confirm in your post, that you have not asked every single football employer about this. Otherwise some readers won't realise it's your opinion !

Oh right, OK. I've asked no-one at all about this. I have done no research and have no insider knowledge. It's just my hunch based on the fact that he's been out of the game for years and hasn't picked up a job. This suggests that either he's not interested or he's not wanted. Either way I can't see him getting one now.

And another thing, Jimmy Seed will never work in this town again. Again, I haven't spoken to anyone, it's just a hunch. You mark my words. ;-)

I can not see how anyone without desperation would take the Villa job. The only side to it is that there should only be an upside. But O'Neill decimated their quality youth players, dispatching them around second rate teams to outperform his highly paid stars. The next batch I like to watch, but don't appear to have the same level of proffesionalism of the early noguhties youth players.

Lerner's a pretty acute operator, and it's said that this season they've operated at a very healthy profit; a lot due to Downing and Young. However I can't see significant funds being available, yes their squad should easily be good enough for mid table but also this sort of entropy saps potential. Personally I see it as a no win second-coming of Taylor period. I believe Curbs could do well, but would soon be out the door if he stabilises them, whilst if he fails - most likely because of the problems - it's the end of his prem career.

Curbs has been on the shortlist of every job going since he left west ham.
Think they will go with someone like Poyet from the championship

How long was Pullis out of the game before Stoke, I think it was a good few years?

It's Paul Lambert they're after. Good choice.

Hard on Naarrich. Now they know how Colchester felt.

    Ha ha!

    Praps.
  • Curbs may get a job offer, but if he really wants to get back as a Manager he should return to the training track with a Club.

Curbs has hinted that he's been out of the game by choice, and I remember on Sports News (or Goals On Sunday) he said he's ready to dive back in... Wonder if a tribunal thing really would bother a chairman...

How long is it now since WH?

Can't see Villa wanting him. Only team he had any success with was us and that was a very different set of circumstances.

Maybe he could take over at Hudds if they are unsuccesful this year, or Stevenage if they do go up?

TBH this probably more his level now.
