    Nicky himself said that Bartram sought him out and praised after a game. It wasn't the Chelsea game though. Could have been many of the games NJ played before Sam's death in July 81.

    There was a lot of comment here and on the OS about his fundraising for his charity a few years back but agree it could something we could perhaps look at supporting.

    Unlikely that Sam Bartram saw Nicky Johns, or anybody else for that matter, at the Valley in 83/84. He died in 1981....
    Classic !

    Well I could have sworn he said that at the Bromley meeting...it must have been a different game....anyone else at the Bromley meeting can put me/us right on this....Henry maybe?
    Oh Jeez.....I'm now well puzzled!
