Do I have to be all three or is it a case of "2 out of 3 ain't bad"?
I'm not anti Britain...
Jubilee: where does one start with that?
Olympics: waste of money - those b£$%$£ds must've known there was a recession coming and decided to stuff the UK with the cost of running the show. Nobody likes us - just look at the Eurovision stitch-up for proof of that.
If you are anti-Britain then please leave the country that is giving you a safe home and free healthcare.
If you are anti-Jubilee, then please bear in mind that whatever would replace the Monarchy (President/Dictator etc) would cost just as much in security and ceremony but would do nothing for the image of the nation.
If you are anti-Olympics then please consider the structural regeneration of that run-down area, and the opportunity that many youngsters will have to be part of a World event during their lifetime.

No need to comment here VP - This thread is just for the Miserable.
The concerns people have about the Jubilee and the Olympics are valid, and trivialising them in this thread is not helpful. It's just rude.
As is the 'antis' making disparaging remarks on the Jubilee Weekend thread.... Tell us the last time the Country came together like this? Oh, wait a minute, it was the Royal Wedding!
This what you looking for PL ? A bit of the Olympics in there as well with this story.
Unemployed bussed in by security company and used as stewards as part of their 'training'. Forced to sleep under a bridge and then bused off to a flooded camp site in the dark with no light after a 12 hour + shift. The company didn't pay them with the threat that if they didn't go along with it, the poor desperate sods would not get any Olympic work.
Prisoners to work for nothing and take up paid jobs that an unemployed person could be doing. That's what we need prisoners, unemployed boosting corporate profits. It's a good plan, austerity so that there is a very big pool of unemployed people, then make them work for nothing, doing jobs that other people could be paid a proper wage for. No rights either. That's the way to compete with the Chinese in the world. Better still criminalise the unemployed and poor so they can work for nothing.
