Ross McCormack has not signed for Palace

Crystal Palace manager Dougie Freedman has played down speculation suggesting he is poised to sign Leeds striker Ross McCormack.

Reports emerged over the weekend indicating that McCormack could be set to complete a move to the Eagles in a deal believed to be worth around £800,000.

Freedman has now dismissed the stories as premature, although he refused to rule out a bid for his fellow Scot.

"Ross is a fantastic player and I do know him quite well, but it might be a little far-fetched to suggest anything," said Freedman.

He added: "You are never close to a deal until a player puts pen to paper, but we are active in trying to do one or two deals.

"But we have got a bit more integrity in how we do stuff than to discuss it through the papers and we will do our business in the right way."

  • Sleep better tonight knowing this news ...............palace and Integrity dont sound right
  • Maybe they should go for Alan McCormack instead - We'd all highly reccommend wouldn't we?
  • Palace have signed Wilbraham from Norwich, the ex MKD player .. he's more of a 'Hayes' than a 'Kermorgant'
  • could be a good signing for them..............I wonder if our "imminent signng" will be better ?
  • Scored a very good goal for MKD against us at The Valley, I remember.

Only problem for them ........ they got thumped 5-1.

Good goal but i think the wind should take a lot of credit for that goal!
  • If I rememeber was not popular at MKD - he had a good game against us but their fans thought he wasn't very good and didn't score enough - flattered to deceive.
