2 year contract .....not a bad deal for a 34 year old who can't run anymore.

    Good luck, Doc.

He did a good job for them on loan, and a division down should be a quality CB.

He could probably still do a job in League One for a club who wasn't looking at promotion.

Many clubs don't conduct their transfer business through the media.

I guess they've been doing deals with players for quite a while now ......but could only register them yesterday.

Good luck Gary, Even though he wasn't good enough you never heard any grumbles from him. Good luck at Wycombe.

Well I recall him seemingly rooting for Wycombe when they came up against us at The Valley last season, even though we were the ones paying his wages!

To be fair we was already up, Wycombe were fighting for survival, He was probably thinking he would have more of a chance of a contract with them if they were to win and stay up.

Also, Doc hadn't missed a game for them in 2 months until then - and would have played again for Wycombe that day, if Charlton had permitted.

So he was an integral part of the Wycombe team set up.

And no longer involved in the team structure at Charlton.

No problem with that whatsoever, but I don't think it was right for him to express it publicly.

Just out of interest what did he do,I take it he was sitting in the West stand somewhere or was he in the dugout?

No, it was from an interview he did before the game. Can't find the article now but it should be online somewhere.

just checked wiki and it says the Doc is only 32 .

I think his ( lack of ) pace and appearance makes most people think he is older .

I'm with Lincs on this one ,I don't think he was quite as bad as some people suggest but also he clearly could not be part of our CCC set up .

Good move for both parties hopefully now frees up some wages .

Always put his head where others feared to put their feet for us so I bear him no ill and wish him all the best.

The fact that Basey might do him over 100 metres tells you all you need to know about his chances with an aspiring club like what we are.

    Good luck doc

Yeah...always tried his very best and put himself on the line....not one of our greats or legends by any means but put a shift in and didn't disgrace himself, simply a decent hard working pro....well to my way of thinking anyway.
He can walk away with his head held high.
    Good luck fella.
