One thing that has surprised me is that apart from those who's contracts expired we have seen no outgoings yet as well.

I thought Hayes, Clarke and maybe Hughes would of been sold. I suppose these things all take time.

Yes it is a bit strange. If we have financial problems you would expect to see us unload a few. Trouble with this lot is that apart from Hayes, they're not worth f___K all. I suppose we could at leat get them off the wage bill

Yep if we had not sorted out Jackson's, Bover's and Mambo's contracts it would be almost like we were going through DD and no movement was allowed either way.

Hayes tweeted he couldn't wait to get started #PromotionforCharlton. Maybe he's staying?

As said on the rumours thread I think due to the financial problems we will see very little coming in and the same going out. If money is an issue I feel the mantra for next season will be "as you were and do your best"
  • I think Hayes will stay to be honest, can definitely do a job in this league.

I'd think it'd be utter stupidity to get rid of Hayes, without a champ quality replacement. If we did we'd be back to Pardew era of having no strikers that could play together if Kermorgant get's injured.
  • Also remembering its 7 subs again

My mate spoke to Hayes last weekend and although he was aware of interest a few weeks back nothing has happened and he was happy to report back to training today. He has stated that he actually doesn't want to leave Charlton and wants to fight for his place. He's settled in his new home and his family have settled in the area and he doesn't want any upheaval.

I was a big fan of Paul Hayes when he first started, his first touch was great and was fantastic with his back to goal.

I'd have no problem with Hayes staying as cover/competition for Kermo. Yann will be first choice but I liked Hayes and thought him a clever old pro.
