    sadly I am not surprised
  • Have to respect he was found not guilty...but looking at the video evidence you have to say he is very lucky to get away with it. Although a £2,500 fine wouldn't exactly be punishment.

Makes my blood boil that he keeps getting away with being... himself. I wish the evidence in this case had been stronger. When they called him a credible witness, I instantly thought of the moments after his Barca red card when he told Geoff Shreeves it was an accident and "I'm not that kind of guy." That was before he saw the footage and realised no amount of lying would get him out of it.

And as for that pretend soft voice... he fooled them all in that court! But that stupid fake soft voice doesn't fool me!!

It could not be proved in what context the words were used, that was the issue.
  • Not guilty was the verdict. End of.

Innocent until proven guilty - in this case he was and always has been innocent.

the amazing adventures of Johnny T.
  • That was the verdict. Heavy burden of proof at a criminal trial, couldn't be 100% proven that Terry didn't mean it sarcastically.Ok. It's done. Let's all move on.

found not guilty but he'll continue to get picked apart by the 'im so perfect' on here.
  • To be fair, When your on the pitch you become a bit of a different person, aggression and heat of the moment things happen. If you play football league or 5-a-side and are the competitive type you will know that.
There is no excuse to act the way he acts and then trys to percieve himself to the public as being a 'good little boy'. He is very different to who he probably is to the general publi.
You can imagine him with Lampard, A.Cole, and a few others with a certain code and circle of trust in the way they act and stuff.
He thinks he is a geezer and a 'top bloke' and has a laugh, which if you look at some Chelsea TV clips on youtube it seems as though they do that.
We all know he is guilty and squirmed his way out of this.

    Hey?

I'm glad this is finally over, it dragged on for far too long.
  • Bradders as you know he is guilty why weren't you called by the prosecution?

I don't think many of us profess to be perfect, far from it, however I would like to think most people have a better moral compass than Mr Terry.

Anyone I don't like must be guilty of whatever it is they are accused of!

    You've got to laugh.

so those with a better 'moral compass' should agree that being found not guilty should mean the end of the matter.

I hate racism but the issue here was that Terry's explanation was plausible and hard to disprove. Whether it was true or not - we don't know but it was plausible and If I could spot that from the beginning, surely a lot of time and money could have been saved if somebody could have demonstrated clear judgement and not let it get as far as it did.

You don't have to be a professional lip reader to realize what john terry said, it was a racist comment. He is not guilty which i respect, but to me and others he is VERY lucky to get away with it.

Not guilty means he wasn't found guilty, it does mean he is innocent.
