Used to wear a Man City scarf in Corrie I remember. Lived on the Isle of Wight and was made a Deputy Lieutenant of the island and officiated at civic functions. Came over as a natural comedy actor and will be much missed. R.I.P.

RIP - His period in Corry with the Ogdens represented the Street's high point. It has never been as good since and it now represents a poor man's Eastenders .

Superb character actor....such a huge talent, his characters were so believable....it was as though he really was the character he was portraying.
Timothy Spall is very similar from that point of view.
    RIP Fella....... RIP.
