If anyone is interested in going to see closing ceremony concert at Hyde Park - Blur/New Order/Specials. Should be great but we cannot go. I can email the tickets over cost £65 and open to offers, message me.....

A couple of mates went to to see Blur perform in Plymerfff last night - and said they were amazing.
Really good gig.

Anyone going to this. Please note gates now open at 12.00 instead of 14.30 as they have introduced airport style checks (the same as Olympics).

on sunday got to fit in a best mate's daughters 1st birthday party, a wet the baby head in putney and then get to hyde park to see the specials and new order before blur. too much to do and no time to do it!

I can't find any timings anywhere. Although it is rumoured to finish at 0.30 (half past midnight).

I'm going to this. Can't find any times of gig finishing. Will need to check the time for my last train to get back into kent. Will be absolutely gutted if I have to leave before Blur finish their set as they're the main reason I'm going to this............................................

I've found somewhere on a blur forum that specials are on at 7.15. Then heard on here that new order are between specials and blur. No idea if true though! Also heard that blur may link up live to olympic stadium for parklife!

I'm going to be there! I'll be escorting the photographers and cameramen into the "pit" at the front. If I see anyone in a Charlton shirt I will personally get Damon Albarn to give them an autograph (or more likely) tell them I love them.

My best guess is that's plausible.
I wouldn't be surprised to see Blur come on at 22.30, because that's when the closing ceremony ends & I believe they will be showing some of that.

The Olympic brochure says Closing Ceremony 19.30-22.30.

So after digging round I've found this:
Bombay Bicycle Club - 16:30 (from their twitter)
Specials - Not sure yet but looks likely to be about 17:45
New Order - 19:15
Closing ceremony - 19:30 - 22:30
So as they have advised the show will finish at 00:30 it would make sense Blur are on around the same time as the closing ceremony ends so I would guess at....

ooooh thanks! My time to do stuff before going there has just increased massively!
I've heard that not all the closing ceremony will be shown and I can't believe New order would only be on for 15 mins? but the 4.30pm start time is a great start!

Have you checked on trainline.com? My last one is 01.30. They are running later due to Olympics

Checked last night. Last one is definitely 12:33. I'll have a look to see if I can go a different route (on Dartford line) as that might be later..........................

where do you live? best train for us is the really late one to hither green and then a cab, think its about 1am!?

I live in Gravesend. I tend to usually get the train to Meopham (via Bromley south) as it's only 35 min journey, compared with 90mins via dartford (and having to change trains).

Don't mind driving up to outskirts if I can find parking space .....................
