It's confirmed that he has now left Ipswich. Apparently, he fancies a move to London and has offered himself to ourselves, Millwall and Palace. Who would be interested?
He's a very good player in a position where I wouldn't say we're strong in. Superb passer of the ball and can get a goal, Premiership quality player. Brilliant character to have around the dressing room, experienced aswell. However, injury prone, expensive (on 15k a week at Ipswich apparently, a LOT less than he used to be on) and on the wrong side of 30. I can't see it happening but I thought I'd let you have your views on it.

No thanks.
Too expensive. Too injury prone. Goes out and gets hammered multiple times per week. Too much of a liability.0 -
Only on a pay as you play deal.0
-
Would have liked him a few years back when we were in the prem and he first left Peterborough, but not now0
-
He signed a five year deal on £50K a week at Hull.0

Was he there for the whole five years ? If so he made £12.5m which is ridiculous !guinnessaddick said:He signed a five year deal on £50K a week at Hull.

from what i know of Jim he was at Hull for two years on 40k a week.
He was on slightly less than that at Wigan and Fulham but he was at those clubs for 3 years each.
Lets just say the boy from Halcott Avenue has done well for himself!0 -
He only wants to come back to SEL because he owns a pub in Crayford. Would we ever see him sober?0
-
Mercifully he earned his £50k per week in Hull, as if he was in London he couldn't have afforded to fund his boozy all dayers!ValleyGary said:from what i know of Jim he was at Hull for two years on 40k a week.

He was sacked by Hull in 2011, following an incident at Hull's training camp in Slovenia the previous week.se9addick said:guinnessaddick said:He signed a five year deal on £50K a week at Hull.

Was he counting his money too loudly ?0
-
Has he still got a pub in Crayford?0
-
yeah his dad Jim runs the One Bell at the top of the Hill.
Gets rammed at the weekend.0 -
Nice enough guy but doesn't fit what we want, we've got some decent young CM and would rather see them play and develop into something we can make some money on than pour cash into something with no likely return0
-
Yes, if his wages were realistic for a skint-just-promoted-from-league-1-club. But I doubt he wants to earn £200 a week plus a free Oyster card.0
-
Just google'd make that his dad's pub!! But we both went to Erith school..0
-
I'd take him if he wants to drop down to 5k a week

Ipswich were paying him £20k a week - more than double any other player there. He was pretty poor for most of the games he played and a bad influence on other players causing a huge rift in the squad. Forget him.0

Well coming towards the end of the career he might be more inclined to take a bigger wage cut. If not then it's a no thanks from me.0

Great character and his day a very good player but, sorry, we don't 'do' those type of players any more.
We only sign young players who we can develop and make a profit on from in the future, with Yann being the exception to the rule.0 -

Seems he really didn't play well last year.0 -
Is he great? really. he had a good few years in the premiership but can't remember him doing alot since hull signed him, wouldn't want him, and i hope powell thinks the same.0

Still, he has made millions from Fulham/Hull (particularly Hull) so he is now in chill out mode anyway.0 -
Is Bullard the twin of MK's Chairman? Or is it the same person?

A really good story of how money can ruin a really good player really easily.0
-
Mk dons must be paying him in beer.0
