As for Moons on stick, they were clean out of them, how about a Star on a string?

Fair enough, Ninja - a pointless tangent. Olympics will have to be fantastic and offer (non frivolous) long term benefits for it to quell my worries over the costs.
  • smoke your way to a cheaper olympics themontreal way.
  • Salad Spinner you keep details of your Extension to yourself you mucky bugger.
  • $2.3bn = £1.2bn

How come ours is cost 10 times that even taking into account that they already have a stadium and the Winters are smaller?

  • This is the up coming Winter Olympics in Montreal.
  • Up and coming winter Olympics is in Vancover.

That Story is about the 1976 Summer Olympics in Montreal.
  • the actual cost of the games is £2bn - all the rest is govt. spending on regeneration of East London, using the Games as the springboard/excuse to do this

if the govt chooses to spend £8bn on the East End that's up to them
if you don't like it use your vote at the future local/general elections
