what constitutes a decent fry up?
in preparation for last weeks all dayer i had a breakfast (about an hour and a half before starting drinking) consisting of a fried egg, 2 rashers bacon, a sausage, mushrooms, bubble, beans and 2 slices of thick bread and butter, washed down with 2 mugs of tea (1 with breakfast and 1 whilst reading paper after breakfast).
this resulted in a totally out of character inability to drink all day.
with tomorrows game fast approaching i would appreciate some advice on where i am going wrong. (not drinking is not an option).
do i need more food?
do i need different food?
should i eat at a different time?
should i replace breakfast with a swift tinnie?

different food .....
... Alan Pardew's bread and salami0 -
Looks like you set yourself up well to me, I had the veggie equivalent and was into double figures by about 8pm. Perhaps it was an off day - try the experiment again. Maybe ditch the paper?0

Big fry up tomorrow in Maggies, couple of tabloid papers, huge cup of tea, and a Charlton win as desert0

The key is half time eating sausage roll or steakless slice with your half time pint sets you up for the rest of the evening0

The perfect pre beer fry up is:
Two eggs
1 square sausage
2 bacon
1 black pudding (the real stuff, not the crap they sell in England)
1 fruit slice (same as above)
1 dollop of beans
2 thick slices of crusty loaf bread with butter
Cup of tea
May seam like a lot but I stuff all that down and don't have to eat again till the evenin and it's plenty for soaking up that Stella.0 -
Any Fry up is good for drinking, they key is not to be a greedy B*stard. Also a glass of milk a little while after brekkie normally helps. You should need about an hour for the breakfast to settle before starting your stomach on a beer offensive.0
