    It's only banter and a form of respect for a true gent and servant to our club
    There's already a Saint Christopher so we can't call him that

    Agreed. It's not my thing but I certainly don't have a problem with it.

    It's not offensive in any way shape or form, so what's the problem? It seems that some people will get wound up or have a moan about absolutely fucking anything.

    It is Parkys birthday on the 1st December.Happy Birthday Lord Phil Parkinson for the 1st.I am sorry Off it and others but I find all the Sir business a bit cringeworthy.Will he still be Sir if we get hammered by Palace.Football fans are notoriously fickle.

    He will always be Sir for me (unless he gets cuaght with his hands in the Charlton till !)
    First England international little ole Charlton had in my watching life time (since 1976) and someone who has always shown a bit of class and dignity wherever he has been
    Still I can't make the blind see and each to his own and all that

    On some boards you can have voting - it would be good to get a vote on whether Chris Powell should be called 'Chris Powell' or 'Sir Chris Powell'.

    My vote would be to drop the 'Sir' - football fans don't currently have the right to confer titles.

    Surely people can call him whatever they want - as long as it's not offensive/illegal, etc?
