Agreed on this, there is nothing to like about Barton IMO.
If he ever played for Charlton i would struggle to support the team during that period but luckily Chrissy is to smart to sign that type of player, he is not at all Dickov/Bellamy/Savage types as they are just like that on the pitch which is very different.

Yeah, there is a difference between the ones who just wind up oppo fans and players during the game and the ones who are utter ****s who happen to be football players. Bellamy with all his whinging and wining and theatrics (and that accent) is absolutely infuriating, but does a lot of charity work. Robbie Savage is extremely annoying both on and off the pitch but he would never physically attack a team-mate then try and pass the blame. Long story short, I absolutely despise Barton. I never wish harm on anyone, but if he were to get injured, there would be no sympathy on my part whatsoever.
As the title of the thread says "Joey Barton in France" still not far enough I would prefer "Joey Barton in Siberia" nasty, obnoxious and dare I say mad little man
Just thought of something else about him i dislike :-) that he is the football equivalent of one of those reality show "celebrities" constantly trying to hard to be controversial and the BBC especially lap it up normally publishing his tweets on their website.
Oh come on he's not personally hindering your life is he? If he scored the winner against us last week then fair enough. But as is his silly antics just give me a little giggle whenever i read about him or catch a video clip of him doing something stupid. And that's fine by me
I heard Barton doing an interview a few months back on BBC Radio, and was seriously impressed by how he came across. Didn't realize it was him until half way through the interview. Seemed really switched on, knowledgeable, polite and actually came across as the sort of guy who would be easy to get along with.
I think even he admits that he says and does these things to wind people up. As a player, nobody ever liked Robbie Savage but he was one of those players who you would love to have on your side.
