Chief sports writer of the Daily Star has passed away. Don't read the paper but found him one of the few watchable journos on Sunday Supplement. Very sad news.

Didn't realise he'd been ill, missed him on Supplement this season although I had noticed he'd lost of lot of weight this year. Very sad, great journo and very widely respected by players and media alike. RIP.
