I didnt get that - we signed him on-loan for the season for the development squad?
  • Why would we sign a development squad player on loan ? Won't get a game in that basis so I conclude he must be out of contract soon and we want a good look before committing ?

James Ashton. Been with us since July - only 19. Was on loan - maybe he's been released by Chelsea and we've signed him.

Hulse is a good signing I reckon. Plenty of know how and will link the play up top on his own in a 4-5-1, if CP wants to play that way.

Will trust Powell on this. We needed a big striker.

    Ashton is a strange one.

Hulse is a decent signing but he may take a few weeks to get fully match fit

Ashton has been with us since the end of last season i hear. Along with a load of other triallists
  • Was a cracking player at West Brom until he got a bad leg break. Haven't heard a lot about him in recent years. I'm sure CP has done his homework.

  • Good short term signing.

He's been playing for QPR in the reserve/U21 league, he scored a couple v Cardiff last month. I'd also give Powell the benefit of the doubt here in that he'd surely check as to how soon a player could be thrown in seeing as he's pretty much a panic loan signing.

Ummm. I doubt we are so skint we don't have enough money for an emergency loan which I think this one is.

"panic" loan signing ? we needed someone and we got someone who is proven at this level cant see how this is a panic

Indeed just saying he may not be at his sharpist for a couple of games.

Not moaning just saying he should be given time to adjust reserve football is not always the same intensity

As well as BWP played on saturday it demonstrated that we do need more of a physical outlet to mix it up from time to time.

Presumably he was happy to come to us when he could have sat at home watching Soccer Saturday so no reason to doubt his attitude IMO and it's a good signing in the circumstances.
  • Is he going to be the new scapegoat ?

Didn't say it was a 'full swing' but they certainly could have brought cheaper loans in

  • He is either the world worst player or qpr fans just don't like him...
