Doubt either has cost much. Also doubt the few remaining board members had much to do with these.

So Chris Powell was the one who got these two players in ?.

    Clem aka threadkiller!!

In the real world, Chris would have identified what he wanted and who. The management team spent some time up at Man City recently & sure the would have known of Razak's Brighton spell as well. Hulse obviously a good solid pro we all know of. But...then the board/money men step in & make the arrangements/funds avaiable.

Nothing wrong with saying well done for stepping up and sorting it all out in pretty quick time.
  • I would've preferred permanent players to be honest.

I doubt either are costing us much aswell.

Still I'm happy we have them.

Permanent's not possible til Jan anyway...two good signings I think.

Yeah I meant permanent players in the summer so SCP could work them into the squad like last year, not loans 8 games into the season. Still they are good cover.

Agreed. Have completely turned the club round for the better in my opinion since they took over when we were in a mess.

    Keep it up.

I think we've all been poisoned against loans (understandably) by the chaos that Pardew caused when we had about 10 loans all at once. I'm generally pretty negative about them too but to be fair, Powell used loans okay last season with Ephraim Russell and N Guessan all making useful contributions last season. In moderation (i.e. not when the entire team is made up of them like Pardew did), and with the right attitude and management they can be very productive. Think Jorge Costa not Martin Cranie!

  • Defoe made his name (to the world) with a loan spell at Bournemouth, where he scored for fun.

Ashley Cole really caught the eye with a great loan spell at palace.

It's about getting the right players, quality not quantity
  • Careful with the praise

Anyone would think they have saved the club from financial meltdown backed the manager with signings, romped league one, strengthened the squad, not sold our best players and then backed the manager with quality loan signings when needed

But hey there are loads of people on here in the know so they must be right

If Razak and Hulse have no incentive to impress I'd be pretty amazed. Razak needs to show Man City what he is about and Hulse needs to impress new clubs after being squeezed out at QPR. Both good loan signings.

Hulse needs to perform well, to impress the next QPR manager :-)

With the negativity there seems to be towards the current board, I wouldn't expect a great deal of praise from this place, even though they are both good moves.

Well there are ten people praising the board on this thread, and you could have added to that rather than choosing to snipe at others.

  • Both spot on signings. Neither have anything to do with the concerns some of us have regarding the club finances.

i think Razak will want to impress more than Hulse will.Hulse is on shed loads of money and is quite happy to sit in QPR reserves than play first team football in the championship for less wages.

Feel more hopeful now as we clearly were going to struggle if we didn't add to the team.

Hey, I'd like to have signed any number of £10,000,000 players and romped to the top of the table, but I'm not gonna let the fantasy get in the way of recognising that we've just done some good business that hopefully moves us in the right direction.

So I'll join the "well done to the board" lobby.

Not questioning the signings. Think they'll both do well for us.

More interested in who did the deals - we are being led to believe that the board aren't around much and that heads of departments are trusted to run things day to day. If that is right, we should be praising heads of departments.

Regardless of what people think, I'm still worried about how we are paying for these players. That takes into account my earlier statement that I don't think either will have cost much.

    .

    Where and by who?
  • If Heads of Department are signing players themselves well done to them. They should have pushed the boat out a bit more though. Jiminez would have shit himself when he saw Messi lacing up his boots in the home dressing room tonight.
