Many of us were saying it last week and I really do believe that our fate depends on whether we can catch citeh - the match at their place is "massive"! We need a HUGE turn out for that game.
In the meantime we need to get at least 4 points from toon and wigan.

Yes, Wigan are now moving clear, which is a pain but not unexpected given that Jewell is obviously a decent manager.
Here are Sheffiel Utd's remaining fixtures and my reasonable predictions for them in those games....
Chelsea v Sheff Utd - Lose
Bolton v Sheff Utd - Lose
Sheff Utd v Newcastle - Draw
Man Utd v Sheff Utd - Lose
Sheff Utd v West Ham - Win
Charlton v Sheff Utd - Lose
Sheff Utd v Watford - Win
Aston Villa v Sheff Utd - Lose
Sheff Utd v Wigan - Win
That would take them from 31 points to 41 points by the end of the season.
As for Man City, here are their games and my predictions for them...
Man City v Chelsea - Lose
Middlesbrough v Man City - Lose
Newcastle v Man City - Lose
Man City v Charlton - Draw
Fulham v Man City - Lose
Man City v Liverpool - Lose
Watford v Man City - Win
Man City v Aston Villa - Win
Man City v Man Utd - Lose
Tottenham v Man City - Lose
That makes it only 39 points for City, am I being harsh on their results? I don't think so. They have just lost at home to Wigan and have won only three times away all season (West Ham, Sheff Utd and Villa) so you can't see them picking up too much on the road.
The game at Maine Road will be crucial, if we can get a draw there then we will have blocked off their best hope of a home win from their remaining games.0 -
Ormiston, playing the predictions game is a bit of fun but should we take it too seriously? If we were good at it we'd regularly win the Pools or take Ladbrooks to the cleaners. I notice out of the 19 games you have only shown two as draws. Personally I think that's totally unrealistic. Also you have missed out a Citeh game as you've only shown 10 and they've got 11 left.0

The Times had Citeh going down with them beating us included - but that was the only win they could see for them - if we do our stuff at home and stop them beating us - even nicking all 3 points then we will be OK

Take the point about prediction games but it helps to see which results we should really keep an eye on plus the bookies were offering 16-1 for Citeh going down so worth a tenner if still anything near.0 -
Yeah, Bing, you're probably right about me not predicting enough draws but as you say its very tough to call the results.
However, I was not really making the point about the predictions themselves just that City obviously have the toughest run home of all four clubs trying to avoid 18th place (given that Watford and West Ham look to be gone).
On any fair balance, you'd have to say that City's run home includes games against all of the big four PLUS quite difficult away games at Newcastle, Fulham, Boro and Spurs which really only leaves them games against us and Villa at home plus Watford away to pick up points.
So, even accepting my predictions are likely to be off target you'd still be surprised to see them emerge with any more than 10 points from those 11 games given their run of form and lack of ability to now bring in any new players.0
