Both these players have had bright starts to the season, and it appears that, from what we are aware of the money we received for these players, Arsenal and Liverpool have made a couple of fantastic investments in young talented footballers.
I don't know if either of them have signed new or extended deals since, but we must be getting more money pending out of these players surely via clauses.
Carl Jenkinson has recently been mentioned for a possible England call up, maybe in a year or 2 but I can see that perhaps bringing extra cash charltons way.

Deffo a clause in Jonjo, we have had at least 2 payment of £250,000 each since what was paid up front for him in May 2010 based of apppearances he has made since. Jenks I'm not sure of the about clause situation for him.0

From what I remember RM said at a supporters meeting was that we were to get paid for EVERY appearance Shelvey made, even if it was only a 2 min sub appearance. I don't think RM mentioned any specific figures but I do remember that he was pretty chuffed with the deal saying it was one of the best he had struck with a buying club and that we would do very well out of it in the long run.0

We should do ok out of the jonjo deal when he signed on that line and stayed with us the main thought from jonjo and his family was to ensure we done well out of it as well0

What if Jonjo elects to play for Scotland .Is there a clause that applies to England or would it equally apply to another country ? I would assume that base would have been covered with Jenkinson because he was capped by both England and Finland whilst still an Addick.0

Why for ppl think we'll get money for Jenkinson?? He was out of contract and not offered equal or above terms by us so we weren't officially due a development fee. Something arsenal knew but still gave us. we won't get anything extra for appearances or international or sell on.0

Jonjo will not opt for Scotland he is just in the England u21 team an the way he is playing won't be far off a full cap0

You've got that wrong Golfie, I remember him explaining how complex what clarified as an appearance /half appearance was, and how a 1/2 app only counted if he was on the pitch for x amount of minutes. Anyway, there are app increments of 250k which I reckon we have received probably 3 of so far.
As for Jenkinson, we were told its none of our business.

AFKA's right. I think UEFA cup appearances didn't count either or only counted as half.0

I think Jonjo should wait for England as when he gets more experienced I think he could be a key midfielder and a replacement for either Gerrard or Lampard who are now both thirty somethings.0

Theres a very young one with us right now bags of talent but only about 8 i would think might be a year older
