I've just been watching Match of The Day. What a player he looks. What playing riches Arsenal have to let him out on loan? I realise Arsenal's resouces are much greater than ours but how is that we don't scout youngsters like him? If nothing else we should have somebody permanently down at Arsenals youth and reserve team games and see if we can pick up a few cast offs - Thomas of course is a prime example of this.

If we stay up it would be great to have the guy on a seasons loan, he is class.

Just watched highlights on Football First - what a brilliant performance. The best through balls since that prat Murphy!
I know Kev's getting the stick for the last minute misses, but Holland had a superb chance just before the first created by Song.

The thing that gets me about Song is that the general consensus of the Arsenal fans seems to have been that he's crap and wouldn't really be missed. Is it just that he's grabbed his chance of first team football with both hands, or they've just got much much higher expectations of their players?

    I think it's two things.

    1. He probably tried too hard to impress at Arsenal where he only had one shot at advancing his first team cause.
    2. I suspect he was probably guaranteed a place in our team. That would give him the confidence to play knowing that he's in the "shop window".

Its must be incredibly difficult to get into contention at Arsenal and he wasn't even a regular for the League Cup team. The only time I saw him play for Arsenal was in the cup game at Anfield and I thought he looked quite good. The gooners who were slagging him off were referring to an earlier game.

Hey even the most sublime players can f*ck things up, look at Lisbie Fabricas yesterday.
