For the Poland v England game Tue?

Anyone got any experience of either City?

Also visiting the concentration camp (sp) Monday...anyone been before? Is it ok to take photos there?

Cheers.

Been to both. Krakow is a great place, can take photos at auswitch but there are a couple of places you can't (not that you'd want to tbh)

not been but you can take respectful photos i.e don't think they like it in gas chamber and such but thats common sense. not going poland but booked up san marino and monty in march today with sport options.
  • In Krakow head for the main square and streets off it. Great place. Few good music venues and a good few dozen bars and restaurants. Aucshwitz is some place.

Been to Auschwitz twice. It doesn't hit you there and then. You'll be lying in bed a few days later and you'll just think, 'f##king hell, how could that happen?'
  • Auschwith is amazing as is the salt mines in krakow. theres also a very nice cadburys chocolate shop in the main square in Krakow

Krakow is a top city the cellar bars are superb, there is a great EPL Bar just up from the Campanile hotel that shows sky sports, try the local fast food a type of pizza/French bread thing.

From the history side visit the Jewish quarter and the schindler museum before going to Auschwitz and (even worse) Berkenhau, it's shocking but be proud that your country stood up to national socialism..

Krakow is indeed a fine city with history, culture and cracking social nights out, I stayed their before the Euros this summer and had a great time.

This is the perfect time for the england players to stump up 4 or 5 grand each and offer to pay for 1 extra night accommodation and flights home for the fans that made the journey.

Imagine the bond that would form between players and fans......

Imagine the long term boost between fans and players....

And the chances of this happening are absolutely zero sadly

yea maybe instead of their match fee going to charity it could go to the fans that lost out, nice idea.

I was thinking this would be a perfect time for a company like Ryanair or some other airline to say "Bring us your ticket from the other airline (to prove that you had a flight booked) and we will take that off the cost of any flight that you book to get back"

It would be a really good bit of publicity for the company and would be relatively cheap..

Reminds me of the time PaddyPower paid out on Lampards goal in the world cup etc.

    Cheers guys

I'm still out here. Had to rearrange the flights (£118) and book another night in the hotel (£100) all this because someone didn't shut the roof.

My mate - along with I say half the England fans - have gone home. So if you see someone with a green cost standing on his own, that will probably be me.
