whatever happened to "blackeys" not the On The Buses inspector but those things they put on shoes. Loved the noise they made ---porper hard they were. Or if you were wedged up 1/4 tipped heels----nasty they were.

we used to tread on drawing pins at school for the same but cheaper effect walking the corridors.
