What did you do different last night

  • Bought a mars bar duo rather than the standard old boring riff-raff
  • I went to the right hand programme seller (of the 1st pair you see coming from the station)

I wore my (previously) very unlucky black jeans that had been banned from The Valley by Mrs cafcfan

Didn't get a kebab on the way to the ground, but my Dad did instead. Gotta be done next week.
  • Bought a Jackpot ticket.

    BOOM!
  • I wore my pink work shirt as I didn't have time to get changed, but I can't say I will be wanting to wear that for the rest of the season.

Its because my brother didnt go, I called him when we were 2 down, at that point he said glad he didnt go. He couldn't believe it when I said we were 5-2 up!!

Sorry - you are going to have to make the sacrifice for the team

had a sausage and chips instead of a saveloy (they didn't have any)...my evening game ritual buggered there as I much prefer saveloy's

Saveloys are far nicer, I agree, but overall the extra pleasure does not compensate for a defeat. Sausages from now on.

Given that we went 2 nil down people should be focussing on what they changed between the 24th and 40th minutes. And indeed why they stopped doing it at the 90th minute.
  • First home game I've missed this season due to work. Unreal. Still was going mental when the updates where coming through on my phone!

Wore the white away shirt for the first time this season. The black one is being 'rested' for a l-o-n-g time after Saturday's debacle!

Bought a thermos of hot chocolate with me for the first time ever after freezing my knackers off on Saturday.

Not got to the tartan blanket stage yet.

I was out and missed ALL the excitement .. If this engenders great results for CAFC, I'll make sure I'm out and incommunicado more often.

I wore my new charlton scarf for the first time
  • I didn't have a beer before the game, not sure that made any difference though...........
  • Paid for my eldest son to come to the game from Cambridge Uni (with his Cardiff supporting mate, who was very quiet in the North Upper). Always win or draw when he comes along, his last game was Leicester!

Mentioned previously going to Bristol with a couple whose only 4 away games have been - Bournemouth, Oldham, Ipswich and Blackpool! Get your money on a nap hand of victories!

I had half a packet of imperial mints in my pocket, I sucked the first one sometime in the 1st half, but unfortunately can't remember whether it was before or after their second goal.

What's 100% true is that they ran out during the second half, leaving us mintless/defenceless in extra time.
  • Wore my lucky Adidas Kopehagen (yellow obviously) which haven't come out since we got beat by Palace and I'd decided their luck had run out... Also wore my new coat, that did it for me
  • Changed the screensavwr on laptop back to the BMW Charlton car badge before the game.....its a darn nicer too...
  • This season before each game I started the stat file for the game and then saved it ready to load the information. Yesterday I decided not to, and won't be for the foreseeable future.

I brought a pair of gloves. Didn't wear them though because no one else was and didn't want to look like a tart.

I have a rule of not missing a Charlton match regardless of reason (and I've had some pretty good reasons sometimes) purely so this does not happen.
I've gone to some pretty ridiculous lengths to avoid missing them too.

Palace game. Got up at 3 am to drive from the south of France to London. 13 hour journey.

Long-running research has revealed that Extra Strong mints are much luckier than Polos.
