Lionel Messi's son is snapped up by Argentinian side

Lionel Messi’s new son Thiago has been signed by Argentinian club Newell’s Old Boys.
Thiago, 0, was born on 2 November and joins the club where his father played as a youngster, aged just 6 days.
Club officials from Newell’s will travel to Barcelona for official documentation for their newest, and youngest ever, player and Thiago will be adorned with a replica kit.

Fantastic dribbling skills apparently.

Are there any cases of world class or top flight footballers having sons who have emulated their dads? (Probably missing some obvious ones)

    Cloughs maybe.

Ronaldo, messi, maradonna, lots of working class English lads grew up realising football was a way to make a fortune doing something they enjoy and give them a life beyond the dreams of what they grew up in.

Cant see how the sons of multi millionaires who will probably grow up wanting for nothing will have the same hunger and drive to plug away training and working at their game for years making lots of sacrifices no matter how much potential may be in their genes.

I think he's a bit young at the moment for the scouts BA.

I presume there's a get out clause; supposing the kid doesn't like football and doesn't want to play?

Then Marcus Bent gets summoned for a paternity test.

    Good one Rodney.

He is only signed up as a member of the club not a player.

Jordi Cruyff played for Barca, Man Utd and Holland, but wasn't as good as his dad to be fair.

Cesare Maldini's kid went on to have a fairly reasonable career.
Maybe Ince Junior is going to make it?

What's the betting that he'd be the third generation Maldini to be capped for Italy sometime in the 2020's?
