Anyone experienced Orange Broadband 'support'?

I( am having massive problems with Orange failing to sort out my internet. We switched to Orange some while ago, as they offered a better deal but retained our btinternet address. I have spent hours on the phone as 3 days ago I suddenly could not send or receive emails. Orange have messed up and BT don't want to know. Any advice would be welcomed. Incidentally I.E. is working fine. Thanks
