Well, it finally happened, after months of tears, tantrums and strops my 7 year old son finally got a Charlton player in a Championship Match Attack pack. Many difficult question had to be answered, "Dad, why do I have 6 Barnsley players and no Charlton". "Why's there one short in this pack and what's that card in the bin, the one with the dodgy and obviously fake Barcelona kit?"

He's off school sick today so my wife treted him to a pack and she said it was like a scene from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and when he opened it he got the golden ticket…Kerkar!

No doubt Kerkar is now his favourite player (sorry Danny Green) and we're off to the Junior Addicks Christmas party on Sunday and we are both going mental with excitement.

    I know exactly how he feels. I remember when I was a kid (early 80's) when I got the Charlton badge (with a shiny silver background) for my album. It was like all my Christmases had come at once. I wouldn't swap it for anything. I think my dad may even offered me £20 for it (which in the early 80's was a lot of money). Obviously I told him to do one.

    You might be right, I haven't see it with my own eyes. Good job I didn't put "Green" on the back of his Charlton kit for Christmas.

    When Henry jnr was into this I bought a whole set of Charlton matchattacks from ebay. Not sure if still possible but would be a good xmas stocking filler.

    Thanks Henry, didn't realise you could buy the whole set, feels like cheating, but all done for Christmas.
