Can't see us winning this one.2-0 to them.
  • Everyone is FAR too optimistic for my liking....Seems to work best when pessimism is the order of the day.

2-1, hard fought game...think JJ is better suited to the middle of the park to be honest.....I'll also be at the game....so @LancashireLad has agreed to do the match thread.

Yet to win at 3pm at home this season. Don't think we'll win this one either Brighton seem to get results at the Valley.

As long as there's flares and smoke bombs I'll be happy
  • I like JJ on the left in front of Wiggins but a Seaborne-JJ combination doesn't work for me. Maybe try Green and Haynes out wide in a 5 man midfield. 2-2 draw

An undefeated-for-six games Charlton sit back and start slowly with Jackson, Pritchard, Kerkar and Stephens, panic after going a goal down 5 minutes after the start, get sloppy, get a player sent off for a stupid tackle and we lose 2-0.

Alternatively the raucous racket of the north stand drives on a lively and eager team with Solly, Frimpong, Haynes, Kermy, Wilson and Seabourne getting on each others wavelength, passing like Stoke and overunning a nervous team of seagulls to win 3-1.

I hope Pritchard starts. Would also swap Haynes for Kermogant, who is still getting up to speed. Can see a decent win here.

They are losing a bit of form and discipline .. we are bang in form ... CAFC 1 v Brighton & Hove Albion 0
  • Much will depend on whether our midfield can see any of the ball. One nil to Brighton.

    4 nil the seagulls
  • Clean sheet for us. Kermie 1, Haynes 1. In SCP we trust. One of the goals on 7 minutes would be spookie!

  • Do the club have anything planned to mark the 20th anniversary?

No concerns about the back four or any combination that we put up front. Like most I think we have struggled to get a steady battling midfield arrangement with a bit of bite and some pace ..... This will be the key I think and another loss in the capitol for the seagulls ... 1 -0 to the Charlton.

a 3-0 win would see us go above them on goal difference.............so i'm going for a 1-0 win in line with 20 years ago.

    13 - 0. Come on the Addicks.
  • I really didn't like the truth in Poyet's words the last 2 times the teams met at the Valley in that Brighton were a class above us, even though it was true. He was marking the rise of Brighton rather than knocking us but it still hurt. Therefore it would be nice to beat them to see if he says something similar. Not sure we will 2-0 to Brighton.
