I take it this is a different one from the one we tried to sign years ago ?

    he looks a right lump , plays centre half i think, the one we showed interest in was a winger

    You know what? I was just wondering the same thing... he can't get a work permit either, which is why he's at PSV.

    And he's called "The Tank".

    I think it is the very same alex, he used to play on the left wing but started playin wing back and now centre back last few seasons

    didn;t he first start playin the the j league long long time ago, or am i now thinkin of another brazilian alex??

    oh i don;t no if we've tried to sign him b4, just he was deff formally a winger LHS (the PSV's alex that is)

    There's another brazilian alex at Fenerbahce i think.
    The one we were linked with was brazilian but had japanese citizenship

    Chris from Sidcup - dead on. He hadn't played any internationals for Japan. Not sure if this is still the case. If it is, then the work permit issue is the same.

    He has filled out a bit (if it is he...) too much rice with the teryaki me fears...

    Talking of work permits, anyone know if we're likely to go back in for Bolanos, he looked quite good in pre-season.

    completely different alex's

    the alex with japenese citizenship has now played for japan and is the LHS player, played in 2006 world cup, played really well against brazil set up the japenese goal against them

    i saw an alex play for brazil in the world cup that looked like him. ....might not have got the right pic here tho....

    the pic was hard to tell from the thumbnail i was viewing.

    no pics of alex, not clear ones anwyay. just a pic of fred's goal from ronaldinho's cross. :-)

    The Alex last Night is definatley not the chump we tried to sign a few years ago.
