huddersfield

sorry im a bit confused with how to get cheap train tickets, can anyone help/enlighten me on this?. cheapest i can find is 80-90 quid!

    They will get cheaper at the end of the month (usually around 6 weeks before). Think its a bit too early yet.

    According to the East Coast website tickets are released up until 15th March. If advance tickets are already out, I'm not sure that this is going to get any cheaper?

    EDIT: Just had a look and the cheapest (sensibly timed) return I can see from London is £43.40.

    just incase anyones interested - http://ojp.nationalrail.co.uk/service/timesandfares/London/HUD/090313/1330/arr/090313/1730/dep works out just over 35quid each or cheaper with a rail card

    Just booked on Megabus to go up there for £13. Train to East Midlands Airport then onto a coach, takes about 3 hours 20 mins.

    Coming back the cheapest options look to be the trains leaving Wakefield after 7pm.

    Don't trains to Huddersfield have a reputation for being on the expensive side anyway?

    Managed to get Train to Leeds for 28 quid return and then train to hudders for £6
