So surprise surprise Messi has won the best footballer in the world award for the 4th time.
He polled 41.6% of the votes, with Ronaldo taking 23.68% and Iniesta 10.91%.
I bet Ronaldo is well p!ssed off given that Messi won nothing last season.
The goal of the year was a cracker, although I remember almost scoring a similar one myself.

(I know! it doesnt make sense)
•Dani Alves (Barcelona)
•Gerard Pique (Barcelona)
•Sergio Ramos (Real Madrid)
•Marcelo (Real Madrid)
•Andres Iniesta (Barcelona)
•Xabi Alonso (Real Madrid)
•Xavi (Barcelona)
•Cristiano Ronaldo (Real Madrid)
•Radamel Falcao (Atletico Madrid)
•Lionel Messi (Barcelona)
I personally would have Lahm instead of Alves and also Cole instead of Marcelo (as Chelsea won the CL), but apart from that i don't see much wrong with the team.
Casillas, Ramos and Alonso won the league and the Euro's and the likes of Xavi, Iniesta, Messi, Ronaldo and Falcao are untouchable at the moment.
Also thought Neymar would get shoehorned in somewhere just to give a nod to non-European football.
Really? Falcao had an amazing year and won 2 trophies.
Don't get me wrong, I really do love Falcao and I try and watch every Athletico game on Sky just to see him play and if someone pays £50m for him it won't be a penny too much, I just think that in the last calendar year RVP has been the best out and out striker and for that reason I'd have him in.
(Nicked from Facebook)
........but played fairly poorly. What's your point?
Messi could beat all 11 players twice, get a cigar on, get on his hands and knees and head it over the line (to be fair he doesn't have far to go ;-) ) and it wouldn't be better.
This is football in a single goal.
