This Newcastle site has a story about him picking up a knock to his injured knee. I hope it isn't true

Let's hope it's one of Pard's tactics to destabilise the geordies.

Keep them guessing or make them complacent.

    Let's hope!

I heard it on SSN whilst at home on Friday. It was said that he injured himself during training, they took him for a scan straight away & it was not as bad as first feared & that he would be ok for the Newcastle game. They then went on to say that since Crouch was now out for a few weeks, Bent may now get an England call up.

Haven't heard it since on SSN. Weird.

Sorry, but I say NO to a Dazza call up.
  • Wouldn't surprise me if word got out about an injury but Pardew has since demanded everyone stay silent on the issue as it will obviously be negative for us.

Someone just posted on net addicks that Sky Sports News (which i no longer have) has done an interview at the training ground and Darren is training in the background.

I'm sure that if he were injured it woul dhave been picked up by one or other of the dailies. The Mirror would surely love to run a ' Charlton doomed as Bent suffers set-back' type story.

If this SSN report is correct then this explains why the story has not been picked up by other main media outlets. I hope it's true and that he is ok for Sunday.
