    QPR's offer, understood to be more than £10m, has forced Anzhi's hand, although they are reluctant sellers.

    No, I'm not making this up. Aston Villa say Yacouba Sylla's signing from French club Clermont Foot will be completed this afternoon. The 22-year-old defensive midfielder, who has just tweeted a picture of himself with a Villa shirt, will join for about £2m. Is that the experienced player they need, though? Or does experience not matter, as long as he's good... ?
