She was not attacked, she was not singled out, a fight happened in the pub which should not have happened, nobody is condoning that, she threw herself into the middle of it, a dozen or so burly blokes swinging at each other, she got hurt by putting herself in the firing line.....which was her job.Fishead said:http://www.theargus.co.uk/news/14901..._work_again /
No right minded person thinks any of this kind of behaviour is condoned.
Just another example of newspapers making sensationalist headlines.0 -

Brilliant. It was her job. Even better.
How much do they pay for that? Must be loads......0 -
The point my stripey friend is that the paper would have whomever read it believe that she was singled out, and attacked because she was a woman, therefore easy prey for this gang of brutes and drunken thugs.Fishead said:

The truth was that a fight broke out between a couple of this group and a couple of locals, it got out of hand, she did her job and stepped in the middle of it, she got hurt by doing so. Not defending anyones actions in either group, but the storyline was misleading and sensationalist.0 -
Well why on earth should anyone believe your version of events over that of the newspaper. Unless you were there...?DA9 said:

No, I was not there, neither was the reporter, but I happen to know all involved personally, and was told the same version on the day of the incident by mobile phone only 5 minutes after the event, and the same version by others whom were there in the weeks after.Fishead said:

Simple, drunk lads on a beano get involved in a fight with locals, bouncer(s) wade in, bouncers get hurt in the melee, no conspiracy, no ganging up on a female member of staff.

Bloody hell, they really do see Sydenham as some sort of victory.0

Fair enough DA9, i know full well that local rags can print lots of garbage. When things like this happen the truth can be very difficult to acertain - since the parties involved have different perspectives on events and also, alcohol can cloud the memory too.
As for Goonerhater, i'm not spinning anything.
Your obvious hatred of all things Palace makes you come across as irrational.0 -

Someone else who posts on here also knows the truth, they were involved at the club at the time, and I relayed this to them, and they confirmed that this is pretty much what the local police had stated to them had happened.Fishead said:Fair enough DA9, i know full well that local rags can print lots of garbage. I am in no way condoning what happened, but the truth must out.

Well done on the attempted sarcasm. However, i was referring to the content of his posts rather than his name.Riviera said:
