Assuming we don't address defending deep -
    Hamer
    Solly
    Morro
    DD
    Wiggins
    Waggy
    Wilson
    Pritch
    Harriott
    Haynes
    Fuller
No playmaker just loads of energy and breaking at pace. Smith to get half hour.

Have to say everyone's midfield selection (apart from the Italian option) looks decidedly ordinary.

Makes you realise what an impossible job Saint Chris has for every home game.

How about trying 3-4-3? I would also include a youngster or 2 on bench.

Can be a 4-3-3 if needed or 3-4-3 with Wiggins moving into midfield.

It seriously concerns me how many people genuinely think hamer is our no 1 keeper at this moment in time

I haven't seen Button play , how do we know he's any better ?

The grass isn't always greener on the other side.

in relation to Obika, he has scored a lot of goals for the Spuds U21s and must be a confident man. Harriott for the exuberence of youth and to freshen it up a bit.

Having seen Button play four times for U-21s, including a great performance at The Valley v Brighton, he is certainly a good option, moreso considering Hamer's (sadly obvious) shortcomings in recent games with poor decision-making, poor handling and poor distribution.

Surely you could say that about any player, in any team, in any position?

I would go for a 4-2-3-1 which can still be an attacking formation if you get the 3 behind the striker forward and pushing high up the pitch.

    Button
    solly cort morrison wiggins
    pritchard wilson
    Haynes Jackson wagstaff

    I'd probably just re-jig that slightly;

    Button

    Solly, Cort, Morrison, Wiggins

    Pritchard, Jackson

    Wilson, Wagstaff, Haynes

    Fuller

We played that formation quite a lot in pre-season to good effect. The Portuguese game (?) springs to mind.

Changed my mind...the full Catenaccio, 1-4-4-1 and go for the 0-0.

    Players - Reasons

Button - Hamer needs a break and this will hopefully make him concentrate
Solly - Can't fault him, the whole team feels down at the moment so he was going to as well
    Morrison - Our strongest CB
Taylor - Played so well with Morrison last year. Just looks more comfortable next to Morrison
Wiggins - As much as i liked watching Evina Wiggins is still better.

Wagstaff - Wagstaff does try hard, can get goals and does track back to defend.
Jackson - You can't drop him. Yes he is slow but he get goals and his passing is best in midfield atm
Dervite - To sit in front of back four. He does break play up. passing not great but he does get stuck in
Harriott - Has pace and desire to make a difference. Give him a chance

Haynes - Lightening quick and panic's opposing defence.
Fuller - Can create something out of nothing.

Subs - Hamer, Cort, Pritchard, Wilson, Obika, Hughes, Green

Just my opinion obviously, but i like the team. Possibly leave Hamer in for Button would be the only possible thing i'd change make to starting 11. Maybe Stephens for Hughes if he is not fit.

I don't think CP will be too adventurous with the formation. I would go for an attacking 4-4-2 with plenty of pace. Line up:

    Button

    Solly/Taylor/Morro/Wiggins

    Green/Wilson/Jacko/Harriot

    Haynes/Obika

Subs: Hamer, Cort, Evina, Pritch, Stephens, Fuller, Azeez/Smith

Interesting to note that Nick Pope played in goal in the Kent Cup game last night in place of Button, who had played in the U-21 win at Bristol on Monday - hopefully saving Button for Saturday?
