Alex on Absolute Radio this Morning

This morning young Alex who is ten took part in a phone in. He had the raving hump because his school only allow them to play football twice a week.
He was asked who are or were his favourite players. The response was Ronaldinho and Chris Powell......good lad Alex. If he makes it he would like to play for Charlton or Sheffield United.
If mum or dad posts on here I hope his wishes come true. More football is definitely the answer, when did Maths, English and Science ever get you anywhere.Only joking!

    Football can teach all those subjects;

    Maths - all about angles
    English - communication and writing programme notes.
    Science - force, momentum, effects of spin etc.

    If you don't let him play football you are holding back his education FACT

    I think I've learned a lot from football. Certainly a bit about loyalty and commitment. Then admittedly also cynicism and pessimism.

    There's the different types of music that's played before the matches and the singing in the Coverend Choir
    You learn about the history of the club - How it survived during the second world war
    How they use ICT to communicate - club website etc

    Yes, there's a lot they can learn from football

    We both hate Wednesday and have formed an alliance.

    I act like people are really dumb when they don't know where certain places are in Britain or Europe. In reality I'm just super intelligent thanks to football.
