    Whelan has come out and said the defender got a touch on the ball and his boot just glanced the forward's forehead. Also, the defender has never done anything like that before.

    No penalty, play on.

    He's going to be sore in the morning! Love the fact that the referee was completely refusing to even look at the injured player and only interested in getting other players back into position for play to go on.

    Not a pen for me - player was going for the ball and just caught the opposition with his follow through. These things happen - its called sport.

    I'm not having that, there was a piece of glass stuck to the ball that caused the injury.
