Car spray painter/panel beater-Fancy 3 months in Australia?

TEL
TEL Posts: 10,100
Anybody know a good car renovator who fancies coming over to Australia for 3 months to help me paint and restore my cars? Return flight, meals, accomodation, use of a car and pocket money in return for 4 days a week work leaving 3 days to see the sights and experience the Aussie way of life. Might suit an under 30 who wants to do a one year working holiday visa using us as a starting point. We are based just 40 mins from the Harbour Bridge in Sydney. Good references and examples of standard of work will be required. Anybody interested or who may know of someone, please inbox me. Could even lead to a business opportunity.

For some reason, the phrase "Think fast Father Ted" came to mind.
  • Would love to do this but sadly no experience but same as above if you need an apprentice anytime!

No experience whatsoever either, but have a cousin over in Aus, been meaning to go and visit him, he's a complete car nut too, supports Arsenal though!

    Good luck in your search

Thanks guys, its worth a try at the very least.
  • Shame I'm to old and my sons to young (and what he's learning is probably all about pluging the computer into the ecu?)
Great opportunity though would have jumped at it 20 years ago

My grandad will have this - ex RAF, true gent. Has rebuilt / refurbd c20 semi-vintage cars including my Mk1 Escort when I was 18 and while I was in Ibiza he amazingly turned it into a pseudo Mexico. He puts genuine effort into bodywork and upholstery; loves a two-tone scheme and most importantly you'd love him and have total trust.

Unfortunately he died a while back. It's in the genes though so I'll give it a crack and it beats all these recruitment haters giving me grief.

Just on the way home for those that care.

My mums coming out next week Tel, chance to see her god mum who is getting on now, I'll tell her to bring her spray can with her. How are things buddy, looks like you are building a nice business for yourself and I so pleased for you, you deserve it. If it really takes off let me know if you want a driver, things are grim here and may need a job ;-)
