He thought he was being so clever with his run up.

The worst thing about it is the fact he smiled as he walked back from his shocking penalty miss. Complete waste of space.

What an awful player he has turned out to be, lazy, uninterested and seemed to lack any passion for spurs. Season summed up in that cocky penalty.
  • Ran up, missed, did not give a sh*t

he didn't seem to bothered about making himself look a proper twat!

those basel players on the other hand, no messing with them pens and got their rewards, fair play.

Shame for the other Spurs players who worked hard agianst a decent side and with a man less to take it that far.

Chelsea certainly won't have it easy in the semis.

You'd think someone like Dawson would be livid with Adebayor. All that effort in 120 mins and he just minces up, leans back and strokes it over.
And I bet he's their highest paid player.
Put your foot through it! Or at least pick a spot.

It was awkward and an embarrassed smile, clearly a few of you can't read body language. Wonder what Kermorgant did when he made that awful miss for Leicester?

However you see it counter the coiled emotion and glee in the body language of Cisse, wonderful.

    Yeah, righty ho.

Shit pen granted but he ran his socks off tonight. Cant fault his effort. The lads done well to take it to pens considering we had 10 men and half of our first choice XI out injured. Basel deserved to go through over the two legs, no complaints. No shame in losing to a team that beat Man Utd and Bayern in recent seasons.
  • He went the only one to miss or am I the one missing the point here ? Don't get what he has done that's so wrong he stepped up did a silly run up but I have seen pens way worse than that

Ask a Tottenham fan about his performances and attitude on the pitch this season ... Couldn't look any more less interested last night, penalty just topped it of

I don't think it's just the peno NLA , it's his whole lazy attitude each and every week.

Can't fault his effort. Yeah right. I was embarased for him.

I would not want him here if you paid his wages.

The rest of the team put in a 100% effort and did so well to take it to penalties. Great effort to get that far and would have gone further if not for the loss of two great players.
  • He divides opinion over here some think that it's just his awkward style that comes across as lazy

    Others hate him ,

There are yid fans here's that think he has had a better back end of the season than he has been given credit for

I watched the last 60 minutes of the game, I thought he was truly awful and should not have been paid for a performance like that. The penalty kick was just the icing on cake his stupid attempts at winning corners/throwin's were laughable, he was knocked off the ball like a fifteen year old. A man devoid of any footballing brain, passion, ideas or skill, I bet we'll sign him.

Why do we give a flying f*ck, it's spurs.
  • He bottled so many tackles last night, if I was AVB I would be livid with him for that, not for the penalty miss

rare that penalties down the middle are missed in shoot outs.

    ffs England, take note.

.....because Charlton fans are also allowed to watch (and therefore have an opinion about) other teams' matches! Ok?

It seems the reality doesn't quite fit the narrative. I'm with Dave on this one though.

  • What was that stupid little dance at the start of the Run up?
