What an amazing performance. Cannot believe I witnessed that. Six, and it could have been more had players had the confidence to hit it first time more often. We were brilliant going forward despite that though, and looked like scoring every single time we got into their half. As mentioned in the Player Marks thread, any attack down the left wing looked threatening; a beautiful cross from Wiggins for Kermorgant's goal. Harriott also looks fantastic, very exciting prospect. Not just going forward that we were good though, some heroic defending on display by the entire back four. I'm still expecting to wake up in a minute...0

Unfortunately poor timing on the way to University today (Leeds) meant I reached Barnsley at 15.20 and decided we probably wouldn't score any more goals and it wasn't worth stopping
What an idiot.0 -
What a result!
I'm currently in the process of uploading all the goals to the site, so far I've done Pritchard's: http://plentyofshots.wordpress.com/2013/04/13/bradley-pritchard-goal-vs-barnsley/
EDIT: Jacko gets the second and the best of the lot imo: http://plentyofshots.wordpress.com/2013/04/13/johnnie-jackson-goal-vs-barnsley/
Keep checking the site as the rest of the goals will be posted soon!0 -
I can't believe last night that I was umming and arring about not going to this as I discovered my train tickets back to London were booked to return on Sunday night, decided I didn't want to let my son done and paid for more train tickets to return on Saturday, cost another 60 quid, probably the best 60 quid I'll ever spend, who needs a day in the sun at wembley?0

Absolutely mucking fagic!0

Reminded me of Mendonca did Jacko's goal0

haven't seen the goals yet but thanks to this you have completely ruined it for me as your descriptions leave nothing to the imagination.Callumcafc said:Just saw the goals on SSN (they'll be repeated between 7-8pm).
#1: Good anticipation by Pritchard on the rebound.
#2: Quality skill by Jackson took their defender completely out of the equation.
#3: Incredible cross from Wiggins from Kermo's header. The kind of cross we've been missing all season.
#4: Harriott piledriver from outside the area spilled into the net by their keeper.
#5: Kerkar on the spot to slide home from inside the area.
#6: Fuller with a classy finish curled just inside the post from the edge of the D.
Second red was 100% nailed on. First red was borderline yellow/red based on the decisions this season. Some refs would've given it, some not.
thanks, thanks a lot.

What? You didn't just keep the Sunday tickets and have some Father-Son bonding time in Barnsley?Mendonca In Asdas said:I can't believe last night that I was umming and arring about not going to this as I discovered my train tickets back to London were booked to return on Sunday night, decided I didn't want to let my son done and paid for more train tickets to return on Saturday, cost another 60 quid, probably the best 60 quid I'll ever spend, who needs a day in the sun at wembley?

Statto Alert: Home Form - W6 D6 L9 Away Form W9 D6 L6
If we had held on against Brum and Wendies at home we'd have a real Play Off chance.
Having said that, the Forest game at The Valley showed we are not at that level just yet.0 -
The views of Barnsley Manager David Flitcroft..
"There'll be something positive around the corner after we've reflected on today." - David Flitcroft.
"We weren't solid enough and we paid the price,"
"We've got beaten by a team that were better than us on the day and we couldn't cope with them.
"I've no complaints about the referee or how he did his job.
"The fans in two years I've been here were the best they've been. Wow, they've had to endure some hard moments in that game. It was heartbreaking at times. They clapped us off at 2-0 and stayed with us throughout the game. Singing at the end, they were absolutely amazing. There'll be something positive around the corner after we've reflected on today."0 -

Hahs Ormy, I wish , he wants to get home to 'prestige' whatever they means on black ops.
Only downer on today is loads of mouthy Millwall fans in their smurf hats flooding London Bridge station.0 -
I am speechless, just speechless. Tried to think of something suitable, but nothing that hasn't been said already seems to do justice to that result.
Hats off to everybody, including the magnificent fans who were there.0 -
"Charlton were a good cohesive unit and one of the best sides I've seen at Oakwell this season."
Consistency has been a problem for us I think this year, but good to hear.

A great day out, a bit t'drafty, but plenty of goals to warm us up. Bizarrely I think I have seen better performances from the reds this season when we havnt come away with all three points, but for once everything went our way, and we bloody deserve it. What was most impressive was the fight for every ball which carried on throughout the match, even when five up.0

The trip to Barnsley wasn't one I had planned to do a couple of months ago, but I'm fairly happy I did!
My take on the game today:

I must admit, I thought we would set up like we did against Brighton- so pleased Chrissy started 4-4-2. Now win the next 4 and overtake a faltering Palace

Been on the beer at a 50th since half two and just checking now. Take a bow Chrissy and the lads, it's not been an easy ride this year but you've stuck in there, kept going and ground out results when things were looking a bit bleak. Particularly at home.
Today you got your reward and tonked someone to ensure your position in the league for next year. Really proud if each and everyone one of you.0
